Map Viewer
WebGIS Viewer Interface consists of the left panel, the center map panel and the right panel. All panels are expandable, collapsible and width-resizable.
1) There are three collapsible elements of the Left panel: Maps, Layers and Bookmarks.
- Maps are combined into map groups. Once a [Map Group] is selected from the drop-down then each Map can be selected by clicking a link.
- Layers are combined in layer groups. Each Map can have a Background Map and at least one layer group. Layer Groups/Layers can be dragged around the layer tree. Each layer's geometries can be toggled visible/invisible on the map by clicking the checkbox alongside the layer name. Layers opacity can be changed by right-clicking on the layer in the layer tree.
- Bookmarks can be added from the toolbar. Added bookmarks are persisted only during the user session.
2) The center Map panel has a top Toolbar, the actual map and the bottom status bar. The map can be panned and zoomed.
The status bar displays:
- coordinate system of the shown map.
- the Easting and Northing of the location pointed at.
- the results of measuring distance and area.
3) The Right panel can be expanded to show layers legend icons.
